At the weekly one-on-one meetings that I have with each one of our senior staff members, I have a standing question. I ask them for any FAQs (frequently asked questions) that they might encounter during the past week. Invariably, one of those FAQs is “When are you going to start my project?”
This is not an easy one to answer, and most often the answer is “It depends.”
Many of our long-time clients understand
that we have limited resources of manpower at times and we will work with them on scheduling by getting the most critical pieces done. For these clients, emergency shut-downs are always addressed appropriately.
One thing you can be certain of is that client emergency shut-downs are always addressed appropriately and in a timely fashion. Depending on the nature of the call, for instance, in emergencies, we drop everything and respond and we can usually get someone to a client’s location within one to two hours, given our service area.
We do our best to anticipate our manpower needs by constantly tweaking our schedule to meet that of our clients—and our clients appreciate that.
